Islands of Coherence - Thursdays at 7-8:30pm UK time (online)

Prolonged periods of low-level stress and uncertainty can play havoc on our physical and mental health, and as we face a growing sense of threat, uncertainty and instability, it is more important than ever to find a space where we can come together, to listen, to be seen and heard, and to make sense of the world together.

Along with Deep Adaptation Coach Matthew Painton, I aim to create a space for those who want to meet together with others who feel the noise and the dissonance, and want to sit together in the uncertainty. This is not a space to solve, fix or explain anything - it is not about debating opinions or adding to the noise. The idea is to create ‘islands of coherence’ - little spaces of certainty in our calendars, little havens of coherence in a sea of chaos, where we can share heartspace, reflect, share feelings, and find inspiration.

Work That Reconnects Retreat

Czech Republic,

Spring 2021 (TBC)

Join me and facilitator Maria Bliklen in the Vysočina region of the Czech Republic, near the protected landscape area of Žďárské vrchy, between the towns of Humpolec and Havlíčkův Brod. Just over 90 minutes from Prague by train, or an hour’s drive from Brno, this all-inclusive nature retreat will take you through the spiral of the Work That Reconnects, while giving you a chance to enjoy beautiful surroundings. Facilitation will be mainly in English, with potential for German and Czech translation. More about The Work That Reconnects.

Workshop - Deep Dive Into EQ

Date TBC 2020 - Prague, Czech Republic

Emotional Intelligence is linked with greater happiness and wellbeing, better relationships, and better career outcomes. But what is it, and how can you master it?

In this workshop we will:

  • Learn just what "Emotional Intelligence" is and how it differs from regular intelligence

  • Find out why emotions are not something silly to be ignored or repressed, but vital data that drives everything you do

  • Discuss the eight 'competencies' of EQ according to Six Seconds, and how you can increase them

  • Find out your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to EQ

  • Pick an area or two of your life where you are struggling, and focus in on how your thoughts, feelings and actions are influencing the outcome

  • Work on several exercises designed to increase self-awareness and empathy

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how emotions are often culturally taught, and how you may be reacting to things from an automatic or learnt perspective, rather than tuning in to what your body or intuition is telling you
