With COVID-19, great part of the world's population suddenly had to stay home for long periods of time and were not able to access more natural areas. Even in "normal" times some of us living in big cities can have a really hard time accessing these areas in between our rushed daily routines and small apartments. What if there was a way we could connect to nature even from our own homes? What if this way could also help us to improve our health and wellbeing?
Born in Rio de Janeiro and in love with the beach, the trees and music, Carla Zorzanelli has gone from a very urban and anthropomorphic way of living to a path back to a deep connection to nature and the more than human world. After a masters at Schumacher College in the UK, she has focused on deepening her relationship to nature by becoming a certified Forest Therapy guide, researching and living into different topics like Inner rewilding, Deep Ecology, Shamanism, Fenomenology, Ancient indigenous wisdoms, Jungian studies and Regeneration. She has also lived in a tent in the middle of the Savannah in Africa. Currently she mediates nature experiences and offers nature connection courses to a variety of audiences. She is also co-founder of Redear – Regenerative action network, a Brazilian organization focused on bringing regenerative processes to companies.
Carla invites you to a 2 hour Forest Therapy experience where we will be inside our homes experiencing nature where we are. Forest Therapy is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in different natural areas like forests, parks and even our own homes. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition, reducing levels of stress and anxiety, as well as improving our sense of happiness and wellbeing.
How it will work?
In our 2-hour experience, Carla will make different sensorial invitations with natural elements that we have at home opening the door for us to connect to ourselves and to our surroundings. We will have moments of silence as well of sharing so then everybody's experience can be enriched.
