Deep Time work was developed by Joanna Macy and her colleagues as an essential part of "Seeing with New/Ancient Eyes", that part in the Journey of the Work That Reconnects where we seek to take on a different perspective on life, the world and our place and role in it. (Einstein named it: We can't solve the multifaceted crisis we're in with the same mindset that created it!) It is a wonderful source of inspiration and insight when it comes to exploring this shift in consciousness that many of us feel is desperately needed, both on individual and collective levels.
Deep Time work helps us to develop a felt sense of belonging, not only to the community of all beings with whom we share these present times, but with the beings from both previous and future generations. We experience our own, personal lives as held within a larger context of space AND time, widening our perspective to include the wisdom of our ancestors and our children's children. As a result, we open ourselves to a deepened appreciation of the evolutionary journey we have been through as a species. New dimensions of meaning and purpose emerge, a heightened motivation to act on behalf of all life as well as a relief in distancing from the madness of speed and pressure engrained in modern society and tuning in to the natural rhythms of change found in seasons, tides and moon cycles.
This workshop is for anybody who is interested in Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects and wants to further explore the idea of 'deep time', or anybody who is interested in stepping outside their usual ways of being, knowing and thinking.
The workshop is offered on a sliding scale from 40-80 Euros and will take place between 18:30-20:30 CET (Central European Time) on Tuesday 23rd and Thursday 25th February 2021.
